JOB SUMMARY

The Project Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery on projects The role involves coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure all project activities are accurately planned and tracked in alignment with contractual requirements and company standards.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using recognized planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Coordinate with project engineers, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare baseline schedules, progress updates, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Identify critical paths, potential delays, and propose mitigation plans.
  • Generate weekly and monthly progress reports for internal management and clients.
  • Integrate cost and schedule data to support project control functions.
  • Monitor subcontractor and vendor schedules to ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Participate in project review meetings, providing insight into schedule status and recovery strategies.
  • Support the Project Manager in developing project execution plans and resource allocation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company planning procedures and project governance requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project planning/scheduling within the oil and gas industry 
  • Proficiency in MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of project control principles, critical path method (CPM), and earned value management (EVM).
  • Experience with integrated project management systems and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ASME, and ISO is an advantage.
