About the Role

1. The Nigeria Supply Chain team brings high-quality, life-changing inputs to our farmers at most efficient cost possible.
2. The macro-economic context and farmers reality is more dynamic than ever before.
3. This requires our OAF supply chain to be more agile with evolving processes, applying supply chain management and industry best practices to the unique context of last mile farmer deliveries in rural areas.
4. We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to manage the processes and the team that support deliveries for all our programs (Core, Rural Retails and Trees) and different other projects such as market access/buyback.
5. You will manage 3-5 people
6. You will report directly to Systems Lead

Responsibilities

Supply Chain Function Management:

1. You will identify process improvements and digitization/ efficiency measures
2. You will set-up annual Unit's Objective and Key Results (OKRs) and implement with the team.
3. You will Accomplish the Unit’s OKRs and KPIs
4. You will ensure budgeting and hiring of staff resources in lieu of program expansion.

Warehouse Operations:

1. You will ensure smooth warehouse operations by providing necessary resources and staffing
2. You will ensure planning and onboarding of WH casuals
3. You will conduct regular internal warehouse audits/checks.
4. You will ensure 5S standard compliance of >90%.
5. You will ensure program-adequate and cost-efficient warehouse space and positioning across the country

Inventory Management:

1. Ensure weekly and monthly inventory counts in all warehouses.
2. Ensure accurate reporting of monthly inventory reconciliations
3. Manage monthly reconciliations and variance analysis.
4. Follow the global loss protocol and escalation matrix in case of any suspected theft, fraud, unexpected disappearance of inputs, or tampering with inputs.
5. Ensure efficient space use in warehouses and QC process is followed.

Delivery Management:

1. Manage deliveries across for all country program: Core, Retail and Trees - in close collaboration with the Field Operations Department. This includes:
2. Ensure delivery KPIs, especially the max 0.1% shrink target, are met.
3. Develop and implement distribution schedules in a cost-efficient way
4. Liaise with logistics vendors, team members, departments and other OAF staff to ensure accurate delivery of inputs.
5. Negotiate affordable rates and draft conditions of service with the transport vendors
6. Ensure accurate data management before, during and after deliveries
7. Liaise with the Product Innovations team to sample inputs for testing
8. Conduct regular postmortems of logistics projects and deliveries and derive required improvement actions

Demand Forecasting:

1. Develop and select appropriate forecasting models based on the nature of our data and the business context
2. Implement and run selected model to optimize inventory, allocate resources and enhance overall operational planning.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for For this role specifically, you will have:

1. Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management or related fields
2. 3+ years of experience in supply chain management and implementation
3. Data analysis
4. Negotiation and collaboration
5. People management
6. Excel/ Google Sheets
7. Project planning, management, and execution experience
8. Language Requirement: English.
