Role Summary:

As our Accountant, you will oversee daily financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the company’s financial strategy. You’ll play a key role in managing budgets, payroll, and accurate financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Handle accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
  • Oversee monthly payroll scheduling and salary disbursement for all staff
  • Ensure compliance with statutory payments and filings (FIRS, PENCOM, ITF, NSITF, etc.)
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements
  • Support audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Advise management on financial risks and opportunities
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems and internal controls


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Must have a Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, etc.)
  • Minimum of 2–4 years proven experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books) and MS Excel
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Integrity, discretion, and a detail-oriented mindset
