We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Assistant Facility Manager to support the Facility Manager in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and safety of a leading beach resort in Lekki–Ajah. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining guest comfort, facility functionality, and operational excellence across all resort infrastructure, amenities, and services. This role involves assisting with maintenance projects, coordinating with internal departments such as housekeeping and engineering, managing vendor relationships, enforcing safety protocols, and supporting budget and project management to enhance the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance
- Assist the Facility Manager in overseeing the maintenance of all building systems, grounds, and equipment.
- Ensure timely repair and preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other critical systems.
- Support the implementation of sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives.
Staff and Vendor Management
- Assist in supervising, training, and coordinating maintenance and operations staff.
- Liaise with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of services and maintenance projects.
- Support recruitment and performance monitoring of facility staff.
Budget and Financial Support
- Assist in managing the facility’s operational budget, including costs for maintenance, utilities, and vendor services.
- Track expenses, help optimize resource allocation, and prepare reports on facility operations and project costs.
Safety, Compliance, and Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to Nigerian safety, health, and fire regulations.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
Project Coordination
- Support the planning and execution of facility projects, including renovations, installations, and seasonal improvements.
- Coordinate with other departments to minimize guest disruption during projects.
Guest Satisfaction
- Work to maintain a clean, functional, and comfortable resort environment that contributes to positive guest experiences.
- Respond promptly to facility-related guest concerns or issues in coordination with relevant departments.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain records of maintenance schedules, incident reports, safety audits, and operational performance.
- Assist in preparing reports for the Facility Manager and senior management.
Training and Development
- Support the Facility Manager in training facility staff on maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and emergency response.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum HND or Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in facility management or operations, preferably in hospitality or resort environments.
- Knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, central power, and water treatment/storage systems.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proficient in facility management software, budgeting tools, and reporting systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with diverse teams.
- Capable of handling emergency situations and troubleshooting operational issues effectively.

Compensation & Benefits
- Monthly Salary: ₦200,000 – ₦300,000
