Job Summary

• The Auditor is responsible for examining financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and standards, and providing independent assurance on the accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
• The role involves conducting audits, identifying risks, and recommending improvements to internal controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Audit Planning & Execution:

• Assist in planning and executing audit engagements (internal and external audits)
• Review financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documents
• Perform risk assessments and identify areas of concern
• Conduct fieldwork and testing of transactions

Compliance & Regulatory Review:

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards such as International Financial Reporting Standards
• Ensure adherence to auditing standards like International Standards on Auditing
• Verify compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements

Internal Control Evaluation:

• Evaluate effectiveness of internal control systems
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements
• Monitor implementation of corrective actions

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare audit working papers and documentation
• Draft audit reports, management letters, and findings
• Communicate audit issues and recommendations clearly

Client Engagement:

• Liaise with clients to obtain required information
• Provide professional advice on financial and control matters
• Maintain strong client relationships

Team Collaboration:

• Work with audit team members to meet deadlines
• Support senior auditors and managers during engagements
• Participate in training and professional development

Key Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Professional Qualification:

• ACA / ACCA / ICAN (or in progress) preferred.
