Job Title: Boat / Ferry Maintenance Manager

Location: Tarkwa Bay, Lagos

Position Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Ferry Maintenance Manager with approximately 10 years of relevant experience to oversee the maintenance, repair, and management of our ferry fleet.
• The successful candidate will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our ferries through effective maintenance practices, movement control, and compliance with maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Ferry Maintenance and Repair:

• Oversee the routine maintenance and repair of all ferry vessels, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize vessel performance and lifespan.
• Coordinate with technical teams to address and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner.

Ferry Movement Control:

• Manage the scheduling and movement of ferry services to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with harbor authorities and transportation agencies to coordinate ferry traffic and ensure safe navigation.
• Monitor ferry operations and report any discrepancies or additional operational needs to upper management.

Ferry PMS Management:

• Implement and manage a Planned Maintenance System (PMS) for all vessels, ensuring all equipment receives regular inspections and maintenance.
• Analyze maintenance data and metrics to improve maintenance processes and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented and compliant with company policies and industry standards.

Managing Rental Ferry Company:

• Oversee daily operations of the rental ferry services, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and compliance with all regulations.
• Develop and implement business strategies to enhance service offerings and increase profitability.
• Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to promote seamless operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field
• At least 10 years of experience in ferry maintenance, repair, and operations management.
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.
• Experience with Planned Maintenance Systems and fleet management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing operational challenges.
• Certifications related to maritime operations (e.g., Marine Engineer, Offshore Safety Certificate) are a plus.

Salary

N450,000 - N800,000 per month.
