Job Summary

The Building Technology Officer is responsible for teaching, supervising, and supporting practical and theoretical training in building technology and construction-related courses. The officer will guide students in areas such as building construction, masonry, drawing interpretation, site management, material usage, and basic structural works while ensuring safety and technical standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Building Technology courses both theoretically and practically.
• Prepare lesson plans, practical exercises, and instructional materials.
• Supervise students during workshop and construction site practical.
• Train students on building construction methods, site safety, and use of construction tools.
• Demonstrate practical skills in masonry, concreting, tiling, plastering, and basic carpentry works.
• Interpret and explain building drawings and specifications.
• Ensure proper maintenance of workshop equipment and materials.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant teaching or industry experience.
• Practical knowledge of construction processes and building materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
