Job Title: Business Development Manager (Renewable Energy)

Job Summary
- We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented, and strategic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth and revenue for our renewable energy solutions.
- The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, a strong network of stakeholders, and a passion for sustainability and clean energy.
- This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, managing client relationships, and closing high-value deals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Planning:
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company growth goals.
- Conduct market research and feasibility studies to identify emerging trends, competitors, and new market opportunities.
- Prepare business cases for new products, partnerships, and market entry.
Sales & Client Acquisition:
- Generate qualified leads and convert prospects into paying customers.
- Develop tailored proposals and negotiate contracts with clients.
- Engage with government bodies, commercial clients, industrial estates, and residential developers for renewable energy solutions.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, stakeholders, EPC contractors, regulatory bodies, and financiers.
- Represent the company at trade shows, renewable energy forums, exhibitions, and conferences.
Product & Solution Development:
- Collaborate with the technical and engineering teams to develop customer-centric energy solutions.
- Identify client energy needs and propose customized renewable energy packages (e.g., solar PV, hybrid systems, battery storage).
Financial & Commercial Oversight:
- Develop pricing strategies and ROI analysis for proposed energy systems.
- Coordinate with finance teams on funding models (e.g., BOOT, PPA, leasing, CAPEX, etc.).
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Monitor pipeline status and report weekly to management.
- Maintain CRM tools to ensure up-to-date records of all leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA or Master’s in a relevant field is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies (especially solar, wind, biomass, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and proposal writing.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel within and outside the country as required.
Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 Monthly.
