Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the Bank’s goals.
  • Identify new market opportunities, products, and partnerships.
  • Drive deposit mobilization and loan portfolio growth across branches and channels.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Set sales targets and KPIs for Relationship Officers and Marketing staff.
  • Lead, coach, and supervise business development and marketing teams.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Ensure effective cross-selling of the Bank’s products and services.
  • Oversee loan sourcing and ensure quality loan origination.
  • Review and recommend loan proposals in line with the Bank’s credit policy.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, including PAR and NPL ratios.
  • Support recovery efforts on delinquent accounts.
  • Manage key accounts and high-value relationships.
  • Build strategic relationships with individuals, SMEs, associations, and cooperatives.
  • Ensure excellent customer experience and retention.
  • Ensure all business development activities comply with CBN regulations and internal policies.
  • Promote strong KYC, AML/CFT, and customer due diligence practices.
  • Identify and mitigate business and credit risks.
