Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled CAD Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience in large-scale water infrastructure projects, preferably funded by the World Bank.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and design specifications for water supply and distribution systems.
- The role requires proficiency in industry-standard CAD software, strong collaboration with engineers, and a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with World Bank project execution guidelines is highly desirable.
- The position involves travel across Nigeria for project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Drafting:
- Develop 2D and 3D CAD models for water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, reservoirs, treatment plants, and pumping stations.
- Convert conceptual designs into technical drawings and engineering schematics.
- Ensure designs comply with Nigeria’s national water regulatory standards and international best practices.
Project Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Assist in design modifications and revisions based on site conditions and stakeholder feedback.
- Support tender documentation by preparing technical drawings and specifications.
Technology Integration & Innovation:
- Utilize BIM (Building Information Modeling) and Smart Water Management Systems where applicable.
- Experience with GIS mapping, IoT, and other digital tools for water infrastructure design is an added advantage.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in water infrastructure engineering.
Requirements
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- B.Sc/M.Sc Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in CAD drafting for water infrastructure projects.
- Prior experience working on World Bank-funded projects is highly preferred.
Technical & Industry Knowledge:
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and other CAD software.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic modeling, structural analysis, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of Nigeria’s water regulatory frameworks and engineering standards.
Professional Certifications & Compliance:
- Certification in CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is an advantage.
- Registration with relevant engineering bodies is desirable.
Personal Attributes:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel across Nigeria for project coordination.
Salary
- N250,000 - N500,000 / Month depending on experience
