Financial Accounting and Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.


Inventory Management:

  • Oversee and manage inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate recording of stock levels, costs, and valuations.
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to minimize wastage and discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies promptly.


Cost Control and Budgeting:

  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing insights and recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Monitor and control operating expenses across all locations to ensure financial efficiency.


Compliance and Taxation:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and other statutory filings accurately and on time.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required.


Financial Analysis and Strategy:

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for financial improvement and efficiency across the business.
  • Assist in financial planning, risk management, and business growth strategies.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and support to staff on accounting best practices and financial systems.


Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on inventory management, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and inventory management systems.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience working in a multi-location retail or food service environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and cost control measures.
