Job Title: Chemistry and Physics Teacher

Description

• We are seeking a passionate and dedicated a Chemistry and a Physics Teacher to join our academic team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, inspiring students, and fostering a deep understanding of scientific concepts through both theory and practical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Chemistry and Physics in line with the school’s curriculum.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and participation.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, ensuring proper safety measures are adhered to.
• Assess, record, and report on the progress and achievements of students.
• Provide additional support and guidance to students who require extra help.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and stimulating classroom and laboratory environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum improvements and teaching strategies.
• Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture that encourages curiosity and discipline.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Chemistry, Physics, or related field (B.Ed, B.Sc + PGDE).
• Relevant teaching certifications or licenses.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years teaching experience in Chemistry/Physics at secondary school level respectively.
• Experience in preparing students for national/international examinations (WAEC, NECO, IGCSE, SAT, etc.) is desirable.
• Experience in laboratory management and practical science instruction.

Salary

N120,000 - N150,000 monthly.
