About the Role

  • Global Pay Limited is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Compliance Officer to strengthen our regulatory and risk compliance function. Based in Lagos, Nigeria, this role is critical to ensuring that GlobalPay and its licensed entities, including Terraswitch, operate in full alignment with CBN regulations and global AML/CFT standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with CBN guidelines, AML/CFT/CPF regulations, and other applicable laws.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and compliance audits across business units.
  • Review and update KYC/KYB, AML, and sanctions screening policies and procedures.
  • Investigate suspicious transactions and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) with the NFIU where required.
  • Liaise with regulators (CBN, NFIU, EFCC) during examinations, audits, and reporting cycles.
  • Deliver compliance training to staff and monitor adherence across departments.
  • Track regulatory changes and advise management on required policy updates.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, registers, and reporting dashboards.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of compliance experience within a bank, PSSP/PSP, switching company, or fintech.
  • Professional certification (ACAMS, CIFC, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Sound understanding of Nigeria's payment and financial services regulatory landscape.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: CBN guidelines, AML/CFT/CPF Act, NDPR/NDPA
  • Compliance Tools: Transaction monitoring and sanctions screening systems
  • Analytical Skills: Risk assessment and investigative analysis
  • Reporting: Regulatory report writing and documentation
  • Software: MS Excel and compliance case management tools

Collaboration & Work Practices:

  • Nigeria job marketWork closely with Legal, Risk, and Operations teams on policy implementation.
  • Partner with Settlement and Customer Success teams on transaction monitoring escalations.
  • Report directly to the Head of Compliance/Legal on regulatory matters.
  • Participate in periodic CBN and NFIU engagement sessions.
