Role Overview

  • The Continental Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality continental dishes, maintaining excellent kitchen standards, and ensuring a consistent dining experience for staff and guests. This role requires creativity, discipline, and a strong understanding of international cuisine.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present a variety of continental dishes to a high standard
  • Develop and update menus in line with best practices and dietary needs
  • Ensure proper food portioning, presentation, and hygiene standards
  • Supervise kitchen operations and maintain cleanliness at all times
  • Monitor food inventory, storage, and minimize wastage
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations
  • Collaborate with management on meal planning and special requests


Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an SSCE qualification with 3 years of experience.
  • Proven experience as a Continental Chef or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of continental cuisines.
  • Culinary certification or relevant training is an added advantage
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high standards under pressure
  • Good interpersonal skills and a professional attitude

  • Experience working in corporate or industrial kitchen settings
  • Attention to detail and passion for culinary excellence
  • Ability to innovate and introduce new menu ideas
