A Data Analyst is responsible for reviewing statistics to help the company make better business decisions. A Data Analyst will collect statistical analyses of data, design data administrative policy, and implement programs to help improve the bottom line of an organization. They create standards for data administration policy for the company and employees to follow, and are responsible for ensuring that data is easily accessible for internal and external users. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build reporting and analytics to support sales activity while providing recommendations to improve the sales process
• Ensure stored data is easily accessible to internal and external teams
• Respond to inquiries and requests for information from staff in a timely manner
• Work closely with Management teams to create data strategies that support data modelling
• Assist in creating a strategy that helps to increase the company’s customer base
•  Providing a Foundation for Product and Service Innovation
•  Analysing customer behaviour and market feedback with a view to create new products or services that align with consumer needs.
• Optimizing inventory turnover, maximizing wholesale margins, and tracking regional performance to drive profitability.
• Identify opportunities to work cross-functionally
• Build strong and influential internal relationships to help ensure business objectives are being met
• Remove corrupted data and review through root cause analysis

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Degree : HND/B.Sc/B.Ed, in a quantitative field like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Economics, or Information Management Certifications
• Essential Technical Skills : SQL (Structured Query Language): The primary language used to pull, organize, and query data directly from relational databases.
• Spreadsheets (Excel): Foundational tool for basic data cleaning, sorting, pivot tables, and early pattern recognition. Data Visualisation
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and results-driven.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
