Job Location: Onikan, Lagos

Description

• The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of diesel and petrol generators, as well as building construction machinery and equipment.
• Candidates should demonstrate proven technician experience with major companies in Nigeria, with strong practical troubleshooting and repair capabilities.

Responsibilties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of diesel and petrol generators, concrete mixers, batching plant, and other construction equipment.
• Conduct repairs, replacements, or adjustments on faulty or malfunctioning equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from project managers, and site managers and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and completed work orders across the sites.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and guidelines in all maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors to schedule and supervise repairs or installations that require external expertise.
• Assist in developing and implementing a preventive maintenance program to optimize equipment performance and extend its lifespan.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, and coordinate with procurement for timely restocking.
• Liaise with other departments using the required procedure in a timely manner to ensure seamless workflow.
• Any other duties assigned by the Management.

Qualifications

• HND / B.Sc Degre in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in the building construction company.

Skills:

• Proficient in diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of equipment and maintenance issues.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools, as well as maintenance equipment and materials.
• Physical fitness to move around sites, the ability to perform manual tasks, and lift heavy objects.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for maintenance record.

Salary

N300,000 - N400,000 monthly.
