Job Position: Facility / Maintenance Assistant



Description

  • The Facility / Maintenance Assistant is responsible for supporting the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the organization’s facilities.
  • The role involves carrying out routine maintenance, handling repairs, and ensuring that all equipment and infrastructure are in good working condition to support smooth daily operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspection of facilities to identify maintenance needs
  • Carry out basic repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and general fixtures
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities are functioning properly and report major faults promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of facility areas where required
  • Monitor and manage maintenance schedules for equipment and infrastructure
  • Assist in coordinating external technicians and service providers when necessary
  • Keep records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within the facility
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
  • Support setup and maintenance of office spaces, workstations, and common areas
  • Assist guests when necessary.


Requirements

  • Minimum of OND or relevant technical certification
  • 2-3 years of experience in facility management or maintenance roles
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot and carry out minor repairs independently
  • Good physical condition and ability to handle manual tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to maintenance
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • High level of responsibility, reliability, and discipline
  • Neat appearance and professional conduct.
