PC Badminton Club, established is a private owned non-profit organisation and one of the leading badminton clubs in the region, dedicated to promoting fitness, teamwork, and excellence in sports. We host tournaments, training sessions, and social events while providing a professional and safe environment for our members and guests.


We are recruiting to fill the position below:


Job Title: Facility Manager - Sports Hall


Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Contract

Reports To: Maintenance Officer

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dynamic Facility Manager to ensure our club facilities are maintained at the highest standards and operate smoothly to support our growing membership base.
  • The Facility Manager will oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of the club’s physical infrastructure and equipment.
  • This role is essential to ensuring the courts, clubhouse, and other amenities are clean, safe, and ready for all activities, including training sessions and tournaments.
  • This role reports to the Maintenance Officer vis-a-vis the Executive Committee who are charged with managing the clubs’ affairs.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Operations and Maintenance:

  • Conduct daily inspections of playing courts, restrooms, seating areas, and other club facilities to ensure cleanliness, readiness, and safety.
  • Supervise cleaning and janitorial staff to maintain a hygienic and welcoming environment.
  • Manage facility upkeep, including landscaping, pest control, cooling, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Develop and implement a weekly facility readiness checklist to ensure consistent operational standards.
  • Submit weekly maintenance and activity reports to the Club Chairman.
  • Track facility-related expenses and support budget planning for maintenance.

Equipment and Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and oversee the maintenance of badminton equipment such as nets, shuttlecocks, posts, and training gear.
  • In collaboration with the admin officer, keep accurate inventory records for consumables (cleaning agents, toiletries, first aid supplies, etc.).
  • Plan and recommend timely repairs or replacements for worn-out or damaged equipment.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Ensure full compliance with club policies particularly as regards dress code and acceptable use of the playing area.
  • Identify and report potential hazards or risks, taking immediate corrective action.
  • Maintain emergency readiness, including first-aid kits, fire safety equipment, and evacuation plans.

Event Support:

  • Prepare facilities for club events, tournaments, and VIP visits, including set-up and clean-up.
  • Coordinate with the EXCO to ensure smooth execution of club tournaments and/or social functions.

Vendor and Contractor Liaison:

  • Coordinate with external service providers (plumbers, electricians, etc.) for specialized maintenance work.
  • Ensure contractors follow security and operational protocols while on club premises.

Qualifications & Experience

  • OND / HND / B.Sc in Facility Management, Building Services, or a related field (experience may substitute for formal education).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in facility management, maintenance supervision, or sports club operations.
  • Basi knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
  • Good administrative, organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends - required.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment

Salary

N150,000 - N200,000 per month.
