Life at Best Development Initiative (LABDI) is National Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 2016 and presently operational in the BAY states within the North-East and Northwest. We are dedicated to save lives, alleviate the suffering of children, women, and other vulnerable people; and to maintain human dignity during and in the after math of man–made crises and natural disasters; as well as to prevent and strengthen preparedness for the occurrence of such situation; and to promote the right of children, women, and vulnerable people in the society.

Summary
- A Finance Assistant at LABDI supports the financial operations of the office by handling routine financial, administrative, and accounting tasks.
- This includes tasks like payment verification, bank reconciliations, expenditure monitoring, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with LABDI financial regulations.
- The role also involves identifying discrepancies, assisting with audits, and maintaining financial documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting financial operations: This includes processing payments, managing petty cash, and reconciling accounts.
- Ensuring compliance: Finance Assistants must ensure that all financial transactions adhere to LABDI financial rules, regulations, and policies.
- Maintaining financial records: This involves keeping accurate records of expenditures, balances, payments, and other financial data.
Essential skills and qualifications
- Educational background: A Degree in Finance or a related field is typically required.
- Experience: Relevant experience in finance, preferably within the Humanitarian system or a similar National, international organization, is often preferred.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
- Soft skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are crucial.
- Compliance awareness: A good understanding of financial regulations and the ability to ensure compliance is essential.
- Teamwork and communication: The ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly is important.
Salary
N450,000 - N600,000 monthly.
