About the Client

Our client is a reputable and fast-growing conglomerate headquartered in Ibadan, with diversified operations across Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Engineering. As part of their continued expansion and commitment to strong financial governance, they are seeking a highly skilled and performance-driven Financial Control Accountant  to join their leadership team.

Role Overview

The Financial Control Accountant will oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, strengthen internal control frameworks, and ensure full regulatory compliance across multiple business units. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities and hands-on experience managing finance functions within a multi-sector operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
• Develop, implement, and monitor effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
• Oversee cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation and production costing.
• Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Lead the budgeting, planning, and forecasting cycles, including cash flow projections and budgetary controls.
• Serve as the finance lead for the company’s ERP system, ensuring data integrity, system optimisation, and effective cross-functional utilisation.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws and statutory reporting requirements.
• Manage multi-entity financial consolidation and maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification: ICAN or ACCA (candidates in view may be considered).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial control, management accounting, or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in ERP platforms or accounting software.
• Experience in manufacturing, agribusiness, or engineering environments is a significant advantage.
