Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Overview

  • We are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and support business growth. 
  • This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills to manage financial activities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight function of the department
  • Preparation of monthly and yearly accounts
  • Preparation of budgets and budgetary control.
  • Preparation of Financial Analysis report
  • Rendition of CBN returns.
  • Liaise with the external auditors during the year end audit
  • Ensuring the bank meets the statutory deadlines like tax
  • Summarizing budget trends, and reporting variances
  • Develop and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Any other task that would be assigned.

Requirements

  • The candidate must have a BSc in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, providing a strong foundation in financial management.
  • The candidate must have over five years of experience in a financial leadership role, bringing valuable expertise and insight.
  • The candidate must have a deep understanding of financial and accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • The candidate must possess strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to drive collaboration and efficiency.
  • The candidate must have excellent analytical and numerical abilities for strategic financial decision-making.
  • The candidate must have keen attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct numerical errors effectively.
