Job Summary

The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the hotel's operations, ensuring superior guest experiences, managing financial performance, and leading a motivated team of hospitality professionals in a vibrant Nigerian hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans aligning with the hotel's vision and ownership objectives in the Nigerian market.
Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day operations ensuring high service standards and efficiency.
Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for profitability.
Human Resources and Leadership: Lead and develop a strong leadership team; ensure effective staff training.
Guest Relations: Focus on enhancing guest experiences and handling complaints effectively.
Marketing and Sales Collaboration: Drive business and increase occupancy with sales and marketing teams.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to Nigerian legal, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high service and quality standards across hotel departments.

Specific Duties:

Manage Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Maintenance departments.
Coordinate with owners/investors on major decisions.
Handle crisis management and complex problem-solving in a Nigerian context.
Foster local community and stakeholder relationships.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in hotel operations.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience: Proven hospitality management success, preferably in a senior leadership role in Nigeria or similar environment.
Leadership: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills suitable for Nigeria's business culture.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Personal Attributes: Dynamic, results-oriented, customer-focused.

Salary

N280,000 - N300,000 / month.
