Position Overview

  • We are seeking a dedicated General Manager to oversee the operations of our major retail store in Ikeja.
  • This mid-level management role involves coordinating daily store activities, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service while meeting sales targets and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations:

Staff Management:

  • Supervise sales staff, cashiers, and support personnel
  • Coordinate staff schedules and manage work assignments
  • Conduct basic staff training on products and customer service
  • Handle staff performance issues and provide feedback.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure high standards of customer service throughout the store
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and implement improvements
  • Support promotional activities and sales events.

Sales & Reporting:

  • Monitor daily sales performance and report to senior management
  • Assist with budget tracking and expense management
  • Prepare weekly sales reports and operational summaries
  • Support marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • HND / Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 3-5 years of retail management or supervisory experience
  • Experience in large retail stores or similar environment preferred.

Skills Required:

  • Good leadership and team coordination abilities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, POS systems)
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to work in fast-paced retail environment.
