HEAD OF AUDIT

Salary: ₦700K – ₦900K Gross Monthly

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Audit to lead the internal audit function, strengthen internal controls, identify business risks and ensure compliance with financial and operational policies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan.

Lead financial, operational and compliance audits.

Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.

Identify financial, operational and compliance risks.

Investigate suspected fraud, irregularities and control breaches.

Review transactions, processes and financial records.

Conduct audits of filling stations, logistics and other business operations.

Provide recommendations for improving controls and operational efficiency.

Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.

Prepare detailed audit reports for management.

Work with external auditors where required.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.

Develop and maintain an effective risk-based audit framework.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.

ACA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent professional qualification is required/preferred.

Minimum of 8 years' relevant audit experience, including managerial experience.

Experience in Oil & Gas, downstream petroleum or related industries is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management and fraud detection.

Strong analytical and investigative skills.

High level of integrity and professional judgement.

Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
