Job Title: Manager

Location: Gaduwa, Abuja (FCT)

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Pepper Soup Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation, quality, and service of pepper soup dishes. 
  • This role ensures consistency in taste, presentation, hygiene, and timely delivery.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong culinary knowledge, leadership skills, and a passion for Nigerian cuisine especially pepper soup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the preparation and cooking of all pepper soup varieties (goat meat, catfish, cow tail, etc.)
  • Ensure recipes are followed to maintain consistent taste and quality
  • Monitor stock levels and request ingredients on time
  • Train and guide kitchen staff involved in pepper soup preparation
  • Maintain high hygiene and safety standards in food preparation
  • Check plating and presentation before dishes are served
  • Monitor customer feedback and adjust seasoning or preparation as needed
  • Control portion sizes and reduce waste
  • Ensure daily cleaning of equipment, utensils, and cooking areas
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure availability of fresh ingredients
  • Stay updated on new recipes or trends to innovate menu offerings.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years proven experience in a similar kitchen or culinary role
  • Deep knowledge of local pepper soup recipes and spices
  • Good leadership and time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple orders
  • Familiarity with kitchen hygiene, food safety, and inventory control
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or extended hours when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hospitality (optional but an advantage)
  • Experience in managing a team in a fast-paced kitchen.
