Job Summary

• Vista Organic Farm Ltd is seeking an experienced, energetic and results-driven Farm Produce Marketing & Sales Officer to drive the sales and market expansion of the company's agricultural and livestock products.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing markets and securing customers for chickens, eggs, fish, vegetables, grains, tubers, processed farm products and other agricultural commodities produced by Vista Farm.
• This is a highly commercial role requiring someone who understands how to take farm produce from the farm to the market, identify profitable buyers, negotiate sales, develop distribution channels and build long-term relationships with customers.
• The ideal candidate must have demonstrable experience marketing and selling agricultural or farm products, preferably with an existing network of buyers, distributors, retailers, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, food businesses and other institutional customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for farm products.
• Identify and secure new customers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets and other bulk buyers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and drive repeat sales.
• Conduct market research and monitor product pricing, demand and competition.
• Generate leads through field sales, networking, telephone and digital marketing.
• Negotiate sales and supply arrangements within approved company guidelines.
• Achieve agreed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Prepare regular sales and market reports.

Requirements

• HND/Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, Agribusiness or a related field.
• 2–4 years of proven experience in marketing and selling farm produce, poultry, eggs, fish or other agricultural products.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural markets and distribution channels.
• Proven ability to generate leads, acquire customers and close sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Experience dealing with wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets or institutional buyers is an advantage.
• An existing network of farm produce buyers/distributors will be highly advantageous.
• Must be target-driven, proactive and willing to conduct field sales and market visits.
• Ability to commute/relocate:
• Ogwashi-Uku: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred).
