Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance of: bottle filling lines, CSTR Reactors, Diesel and Gas Generator Set, Reciprocating and Rotary Air Compressors, Chilled Water System, PET and HDPE Bottle Manufacturing Machines, Centrifugal Pumps, AODD Pumps, Cooling Towers and Precess Tanks.
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of mechanical, instrumentation and electrical systems across the plant.
  • Minimize production downtime through quick diagnosis and resolution of equipment breakdowns.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and SOPs for all critical equipment.
  • Lead a team of technicians and ensure timely maintenance and proper documentation.
  • Maintain an up-to-date spare parts inventory and manage local procurement from Nigerian vendors.
  • Coordinate closely with production, QC, Admin and warehouse departments to ensure operational alignment
  • Liaise with OEMs and third-party vendors for technical support and service needs
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations

Required Skill & Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferably Agrochemical or Plastic Packaging Industry)
  • Strong technical expertise in: Mechanical systems, Electrical control panels and instrumentation, Utility systems ( compressors, chillers, generators, pumps, etc)
  • Proven hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing filling lines and rotating equipment
  • Familiarity with CSTR reactors and chemical processes
  • Proficiency in Nigeria spare parts sourcing, vendor development and cost management.
