Job Title: Pharmacologist

Location: Ikate, Lekki - Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Department: Research & Development / Clinical Pharmacology

Reports To: Head of Drug Development / Chief Scientific Officer

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacologist to join our research team.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in studying the effects of drugs on biological systems, contributing to the development of safe and effective therapies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, conduct, and analyze experiments to evaluate drug efficacy, safety, and mechanisms of action.
  • Collaborate with chemists, toxicologists, and clinicians in drug development projects.
  • Interpret data from preclinical and clinical trials to support regulatory submissions.
  • Develop and validate pharmacological models and testing protocols.
  • Prepare detailed reports, research papers, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advise healthcare professionals and regulatory bodies on drug interactions, dosages, and therapeutic applications.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards, laboratory safety, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Stay current with advancements in pharmacology, biotechnology, and therapeutic innovation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s Degree or Ph.D in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in laboratory research or clinical pharmacology (2+ years preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and laboratory techniques (e.g., HPLC, mass spectrometry).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
