Summary

  • The post holder will be responsible for the strategic coordination and implementation of the protection and social cohesion components of the WFP-funded project.
  • This role involves working closely with government and community stakeholders, WFP cooperating partners, and internal teams across nutrition, food distribution, and other sectors to ensure the delivery of high-impact, integrated programming.
  • S/he will also support and provide technical guidance to ensure alignment with donor expectations and best practices.


Person Specifications

Education / Qualifications:

  • First Degree in Social Sciences / Art or related fields is essential.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is desirable
  • Membership of relevant professional Institute is desirable.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in humanitarian response, collaborating with both local and international partner organisations is essential.
  • Capacity to serve as a humanitarian generalist, possessing a broad understanding of various aspects of humanitarian work is desirable.

Skill / Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain donor relationships and accountability in line with funding policies and standards
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Detailed, organised, and has an eye for detail.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances, coupled with the ability to supervise and provide guidance to others when necessary.
