Overall Mission

General objective:

  • To ensure consistent product quality and safety by conducting thorough inspections, sensory evaluations, and internal controls across all stages of production.
  • The role aims to prevent non?conformities, support continuous improvement, maintain accurate documentation, and facilitate smooth shift transitions ultimately guaranteeing that only compliant, high?quality products are released 


Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Serve as a panelist for the sensory evaluation of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
  • Assess and verify the conformity of transport vehicles, and promptly notify the appropriate team when deviations are detected.
  • Collect samples for every reception and confirm the availability of Certificates of Analysis (COA).
  • Conduct a thorough handover at the end of each shift, highlighting any issues, non?conformities, or challenges encountered.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for quality defects identified during production.
  • Update the non?conformities follow?up sheet with all defects observed during the shift.
  • Collect finished product samples from each production line for daily sensory evaluation.
  • Maintain and update the defect logbook consistently.
  • Adhere to and execute the internal control plan for production equipment.
  • Authorize the restart of production lines after any stoppage, cleaning, or maintenance activity occurring during the shift.
  • Ensure the availability of essential production consumables including 70° alcohol, paper towels, masks, nurse caps, and required PPE and verify that all containers are properly labeled.
  • Report any incidents observed while performing assigned duties.
  • Carry out any additional relevant tasks assigned by the line manager.


Required Skills:

  • Language skills – English & Hausa is essential.
  • Education degree – Diploma in Food Science or any other relevant discipline.
  • Work experience; 2Years in food industry years’ experience in same position or related field
  • Computer skills – MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook
