Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures across the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Organise and deliver safety training, induction programmes, and emergency drills for employees.
  • Monitor the use of PPE and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.
  • Prepare HSE reports, maintain safety records, and liaise with regulatory agencies during inspections.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian HSE regulations and international safety standards.
  • Professional HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISPON, OSHA) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and incident investigation skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective safety management systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
