Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Executive / Manager with proven sales experience within the construction chemicals industry in Nigeria.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development, customer acquisition, revenue growth, market expansion, and channel development for construction chemical products across Lagos and the wider Nigerian market.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of the Nigerian construction chemicals market, established relationships across the construction and building materials value chain, and a demonstrable track record of delivering sales targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales and business development strategies for the Construction Chemicals portfolio.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across the construction, real estate, infrastructure, and building materials sectors.
  • Generate qualified leads and convert prospects into long-term customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, distributors, dealers, applicators, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and other key industry stakeholders.
  • Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline across Lagos and other strategic Nigerian markets.
  • Conduct regular market visits to identify customer needs, competitor activities, pricing trends, market gaps, and emerging opportunities.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage suitable distributors, dealers, applicators, and channel partners.
  • Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, sales forecasts, customer reports, and other required documentation.
  • Work closely with technical and internal teams to coordinate product demonstrations, site trials, technical presentations, and customer support.
  • Provide regular market intelligence and actionable feedback on competitor products, pricing, customer requirements, and market trends.
  • Support the introduction, positioning, and commercialization of new construction chemical products.
  • Develop and implement market-entry strategies for new products and customer segments.
  • Maintain strong after-sales relationships to drive customer satisfaction, retention, referrals, and repeat business.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, trade events, customer meetings, site visits, product launches, and technical presentations.
  • Monitor customer accounts, sales performance, collections, and commercial opportunities as required.
  • Represent the organization professionally and strengthen its presence within the Nigerian construction chemicals market.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Chemistry, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, or another relevant discipline.
  • Professional qualifications or certifications in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Construction, or a relevant technical field will be an advantage.
  • Nationality: Nigerian.

Required Experience:

  • 3–5 years of proven sales experience in Construction Chemicals or a closely related industry.
  • Strong practical knowledge of the Nigerian construction chemicals market is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience selling products such as:
  • Waterproofing systems
  • Tile adhesives and grouts
  • Concrete admixtures
  • Concrete repair and bonding products
  • Sealants
  • Protective coatings
  • Industrial and decorative flooring systems
  • Construction and structural repair solutions
  • Other related construction chemical products.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Established relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, distributors, dealers, applicators, building material merchants, and other construction industry stakeholders.
  • Existing market relationships and a strong professional network within Lagos and/or other major Nigerian construction markets will be highly advantageous.
  • Candidates with experience working for established construction chemical manufacturers, distributors, or suppliers in Nigeria are particularly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • We are particularly interested in candidates who have hands-on experience selling  construction chemicals in Lagos and who understand how to develop  business through contractors, developers, consultants, distributors, dealers, applicators, and project stakeholders.
  • Candidates who have worked with or sold competing construction chemical products and have an established network within the Nigerian construction industry will be particularly relevant.
  • Relevant industry exposure may include experience with established construction chemical manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors operating within the Nigerian construction chemicals sector.
