Role Summary

Mydrinks Limited is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales operations across Nigeria. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing distributor and retail channels, leading the sales team, and achieving ambitious growth targets for our beverage brands.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share in Lagos, Kano, and nationwide.
  • Identify and onboard new distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners.
  • Ensure product visibility, availability, and activation in both traditional trade (open markets, shops, kiosks) and modern trade (supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies).

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and supervise sales representatives, merchandisers, and channel managers.
  • Set monthly and quarterly targets for the sales team and monitor performance.
  • Motivate and coach the team to deliver consistent results.

Distributor & Channel Management

  • Build strong relationships with key distributors and ensure smooth operations.
  • Negotiate terms, rebates, and credit policies in line with company objectives.
  • Monitor distributor stock levels, secondary sales, and credit control.

Market Execution

  • Drive product listings, activations, and point-of-sale promotions.
  • Oversee merchandising, branding visibility, and route-to-market execution.
  • Collect and analyze market intelligence (pricing, competitor activity, consumer trends).

Reporting & Strategy

  • Track and report weekly/monthly sales performance against targets.
  • Provide management with insights and recommendations for growth.
  • Work closely with marketing to align promotions and campaigns with sales goals.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years’ experience in FMCG sales management (beverages preferred).
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong network with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts in Nigeria.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of route-to-market strategies (van sales, open markets, supermarkets, pharmacies, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
  • Must be willing to travel within Nigeria.
