Role Summary
- We’re seeking a results-driven and well-organized Sales Officer to support our local commodity sales operations.
- This role focuses on coordinating and growing relationships with local processors and retailers, reporting to the Sales Lead.
- You will play a key role in ensuring timely demand generation, buyer engagement, and deal closure for crops like paddy rice, maize, soybeans, and processed rice.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage local processors and retailers for commodity sales
- Generate and manage leads within assigned territories or product segments
- Ensure timely follow-up, quotation, negotiation, and closing of deals
- Maintain accurate records of buyer interactions and order status using CRM tools
- Coordinate closely with the operations and logistics team for smooth delivery
- Provide regular updates and sales reports to the Sales Lead
- Support field activations and awareness events to drive visibility and engagement
- Gather market intelligence to support pricing and product decisions
Key Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in agri-commodity sales, FMCG, or B2B sales
- Strong understanding of agricultural value chains and buyer behavior
- Ability to manage relationships with processors, cooperatives, and retailers
- Good communication, negotiation, and documentation skills
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable working with targets and deadlines
- Familiarity with digital tools (CRM, spreadsheets, basic reporting)
Bonus If You Have:
- Existing relationships with processors and food manufacturers
- Knowledge of commodity pricing trends and logistics processes
- Experience supporting mobile sales or digital platforms.
