Job Description

• We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong expertise in Trade Finance to join our finance team

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all financial accounting operations of the organization
• Handle trade finance transactions including Letters of Credit (LC), Bills for Collection, and Bank Guarantees
• Liaise with banks and financial institutions on import/export financing and documentation
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with international trade regulations and policies
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and foreign exchange transactions
• Ensure accurate recording of trade-related transactions in the accounting system
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights for business decision-making
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and internal controls
• Support audits (internal and external) and ensure timely resolution of audit queries
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff
• Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement

Requirements

• Minimum of B.Sc/ Masters . in Accounting, Finance,
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, with strong focus on trade finance
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage
• In-depth knowledge of Letters of Credit (LC), import/export documentation, and banking processes
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax regulations, and compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
