Mission
- To coordinate network regional technical management to achieve regional operations alignment with business objectives.
- To manage effective quality assurance on the operational activities of Manage service Vendors, Tower Providers and other third-party service providers.
Description
- Coordinate assigned regional technical management teams for effective execution of NWG strategic objectives.
- Overall responsibility for ensuring end of life assets is replaced/ overhauled in an efficient manner to achieve sustained availability/ quality and minimum exclusion claims by manages services Vendors.
- Coordinate the management of Manages Services Vendors in the regions by putting in place and monitoring effective quality assurance framework.
- Identify high level training requirements of team members, develop programs to address knowledge gaps and to enrich knowledge repository within the department.
- Ensure effective provision of resources for Network functions in the region to achieve set objectives.
- Overall responsibility for National 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G availability, site routine maintenance, and site asset management
- Cascade and monitor execution of NW strategic objectives to regional operations teams
- Prepare regional operations input into annual site build and upgrade plan.
- Prepare/Own NRC annual CAPEX and OPEX budget
- Review the performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
- Coach and train the Regional Operations team to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their training needs.
Requirements
Education:
- First Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Master’s degree Advantageous
- Fluent in English and language of country preferable.
Experience:
9 - 17 years’ experience which includes:
- Manage track record of 5 years or more; with at least 3 years in relevant sector/ industry
- Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous
- Experience in managing Telecoms Network Operations and maintenance/ Quality assurance.
