We are looking for a creative, strategic, and deeply curious Social Media & Content Creator to own and grow our digital presence. This person will translate the work we do supplying quality agricultural inputs to farmers and agribusinesses across Nigeria into compelling content that builds trust, educates our audience, drives demand, and positions MIKSON Distribution as the go-to authority in agricultural supply in the region.


This is not just a posting role. We need someone who can think, tell stories, and connect real farmer and business outcomes to our brand.

we need someone who understands our market, thinks in campaigns, and can create content that moves farmers, poultry producers, and agribusiness owners to trust us and take action.


Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Strategy

  • Develop and execute a monthly content calendar across platforms (primarily WhatsApp Business, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok) aligned with our marketing and sales goals.
  • Create educational content on poultry management, feed selection, veterinary care, and agribusiness best practices that provides real value to our customer base.
  • Produce product highlight content — showcasing our feed brands, vet products, and agricultural inputs in a way that drives inquiries and orders.
  • Develop promotional content for campaigns, new product arrivals, seasonal offers, and distributor/retailer incentives.
  • Capture and edit short-form videos, graphics, and written content using available tools and on-site resources.


Community & Customer Engagement

  • Manage and grow our WhatsApp Business channel, including broadcast messaging, group engagement, and timely responses to inquiries.
  • Build a loyal online community of poultry farmers, feed retailers, veterinary professionals, and agro-dealers across Southeast Nigeria.
  • Respond to comments, DMs, and inquiries across platforms with accuracy and warmth, escalating sales leads to the appropriate team.
  • Gather and repurpose customer success stories, testimonials, and farm transformation stories into powerful brand content.


Content Creation

Create high-quality content for:

  • Instagram (Reels, Carousels, Stories)
  • Facebook
  • WhatsApp Broadcast
  • LinkedIn (corporate positioning)
  • YouTube (Educational farm content – optional future phase)
  • Content types should include:
  • Product education breakdowns
  • Symptom-to-solution content
  • Farmer testimonials
  • Retailer spotlight features
  • “Farming Without Guesswork” micro-lessons
  • Myth-busting veterinary posts
  • Promotional campaigns
  • Behind-the-scenes warehouse & logistics content
  • CSR & community outreach content


Brand Building & Thought Leadership

  • Position MIKSon Distribution as a trusted partner, not just a supplier, through consistent, high-value content that reflects our deep understanding of the agricultural ecosystem.
  • Support the development of the MIKSon brand voice: practical, grounded, knowledgeable, and community-oriented.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development & Strategy Lead to align content with revenue diversification initiatives, including farm consulting, input financing, and training workshops.


Who We're Looking For

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing — ideally within agriculture, FMCG, or a trade/distribution business.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills — able to design graphics (Canva or equivalent) and produce/edit short-form video content.
  • Excellent written communication in English; ability to write in a tone that resonates with Nigerian small and medium agribusinesses.
  • Solid understanding of WhatsApp Business as a marketing and engagement tool.
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines consistently.


Preferred Attributes

  • Genuine interest in or familiarity with agriculture, poultry farming, or agribusiness in Nigeria.
  • Understanding of Southeast Nigeria's market dynamics, language, and culture.
  • Self-directed and able to operate with initiative — we are a fast-moving, lean team.
  • Able to work within ERPNext and adapt to operational tools as needed.

  • Basic photography/videography skills for capturing on-site content at our Onitsha office or in the field.
