Job Title: Tax / Payroll Specialist


Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax/Payroll Specialist to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations, adherence to tax regulations, and proper remittance of all statutory deductions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and remit all statutory payments including but not limited to PAYE, Pension, NHF, NSITF, and ITF in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve discrepancies or errors.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, labor laws, and internal controls.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and regulatory agencies when required.
  • Prepare payroll reports and analytics for management and audit purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of annual tax returns and statutory documentation.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax and payroll legislation and advise management accordingly.
  • Support audits and respond to payroll/tax-related queries and reviews.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • HND/BSC in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in payroll processing and tax/statutory remittances.
  • Solid understanding of Nigerian tax laws and statutory obligations (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, etc.).
  • Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in payroll administration, taxation, or accounting (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIPM) is an added advantage.

Salary

N300,000 - N400,000 Monthly with other benefits
