Position Overview


  • We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (Engineering) to lead and manage all engineering-related deliverables for U.S.-based construction projects.
  • This role is responsible for driving engineering execution, ensuring that all design outputs, BIM models, and submittals are delivered on schedule, technically sound, and fully coordinated with field conditions.


Core Responsibilities

Engineering Delivery Management:

  • Own end-to-end engineering workflow across multiple projects
  • Coordinate engineers for calculations, connection details, and support systems
  • Validate engineering outputs for constructability and code compliance

BIM & Technical Coordination:

  • Oversee BIM/modeling production using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Lead coordination across MEP, structural, and equipment vendors
  • Ensure models are fabrication-ready

Submittals & Documentation:

  • Manage shop drawings, calculations, RFIs
  • Maintain turnaround timelines (≤ 2–3 weeks)
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness

Project & Schedule Management:

  • Manage engineering schedules aligned with construction
  • Track deliverables and milestones
  • Lead coordination calls with U.S. teams and GCs (flexibility required for time zone overlap)

Preconstruction Support:

  • Assist in estimating design concepts and VE
  • Define scope boundaries to reduce risk

Field Support:

  • Provide remote engineering support to field teams
  • Validate assumptions and support change orders

Risk & Quality Management:

  • Identify technical risks early
  • Implement QA/QC processes
  • Understand the cost implications of design decision

KPIs

  • On-time delivery
  • First-pass approvals
  • Reduced field rework
  • Engineering cycle time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum 5+years experience in technical PM or engineering coordination
  • Strong structural and construction knowledge
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred:

  • COREN certification
  • U.S./international project experience
  • Familiarity with Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Healthcare/data center experience

Additional Requirements:

  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Iyana Ipaja
  • Willingness to occasionally adjust working hours for critical coordination meetings.
