Role Description

  • The Van Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Warri, responsible for driving sales and brand visibility across assigned routes.
  • This role involves visiting retail outlets daily, presenting product ranges, securing orders, and ensuring timely delivery from the van to customers.
  • The Van Sales Representative will manage stock levels in the vehicle, maintain accurate records of sales, collections, and returns, and handle basic cash reconciliation at the end of each day.
  • The role includes monitoring product displays, gathering market feedback, identifying new sales opportunities, and building strong relationships with store owners and buyers.
  • The Van Sales Representative will also collaborate with the sales team and supervisors to execute promotions, meet volume and distribution targets, and uphold PZ Cussons’ standards of customer service and product presentation.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of a secondary school certificate; additional vocational or tertiary qualifications in sales, marketing, or business are beneficial.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with proven ability to meet or exceed route and volume targets.
  • Customer service and relationship-building skills to effectively engage retailers and maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Basic numeric and record-keeping skills for handling cash, reconciling sales, and maintaining accurate daily reports.
  • Route planning and time management capabilities to optimize daily coverage and minimize stockouts.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record, with experience operating a sales or delivery van.
  • Good communication skills in English and relevant local languages, with the ability to present products clearly and persuasively.
  • Familiarity with FMCG or consumer goods environments; experience in field or van sales within Nigeria is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, handle physical aspects of loading/unloading products, and adapt to changing market conditions.
